North Highland Way

The North Highland Way web site goes from strength to strength with historial and cultural links. We have called Northern Ireland our “Environmental Department” as they are the best at getting the message out through the Environmental Link. Northern Ireland has everything – Spanish heritage, as has Orkney through the Dons of Westray, and of course Chichlana de la Frontera through the Battle of Barossa.

Orkney is next, and we like to think of that as our “Education Department” as they are the ones most likely to receive green accreditation shortly.

Caithness is our “Tourism Department” as it is the home of the North Highland Way, especially Dunnet Head, and the area of the Moray Firth Partnership extends into Caithness on the east coast. Also, VisitScotland is very proactive. Our tours will start to be published on their web site shortly.

As we start to look at the Scottish Coastal route later this week with the North East Scotland Climate Action Network, we are really cooking with gas. Research on the Moray Firth Trail is going well. Also, later this week, we will be publishing Environmental News which is packed full of the news from Spain, Northern Ireland, Caithness and Orkney, focussing as ever on Green Destinations.

We hope you enjoy this post, and catching up, and we will be back shortly.
