I was delighted to have been invited to speak at the Edinburgh Festival. This is a great honour, and I look forward to making the film for them. Meanwhile, they have received this one we made some years ago, funded by Awards for All. Of course, Dunnet Head is the focal point of the North Highland Way, being the most northerly point on the UK mainland.
It is a pity it will never reach its full potential of being a multi use route, due to the interference of Dounreay and the Highlands and Islands Enterprise. It will not be marked for example. Nor will it join up with the John o Groats Trail to make the Scottish Coastal Path.
