Caithness at War

Caithness at War is a project run by the Sinclair Bay Trust for the east coast, but only for the east coast. The focus of the Dunnet Head Educational Trust, now closed, was Dunnet Head and Burifa Hill. Over on Hoy, which is easily visible from Dunnet Head and strewn on the hillside of the Cuilags is the wreckage of a GR-V Liberator aeroplane from WW2.

As part of the Dunnet Experience, we, the steering group of the North Highland Way, and their friends, has started to retrieve documentation and photos from our archive which are not either with Andrew Gutteridge or other members of the group. The main exhibition is with the gentleman at the House of the Northern Gate. However, we retained most of the materials, and they will periodically, as time permits, arrive here, including a Google Earth tour. Watch this space. This may become part of the Global Climate Change Week.
