Friends of the North Highland Way

We are really cooking with gas. New partners Outdoor Active are now on board, as well as the Scottish Rural Parliament and the Scottish Climate Change Action Network. The landowner at Dunnet Head is a Friend of the North Highland Way and helped some years ago by trying to get toilets at Dunnet Head. This is sustainability at its best… both environmental and economic. We are slightly disgruntled that the enterprise agency does not appear to want this project, and wants the Sutherland Space Hub instead. Farr North Development Group. Andrew Guttridge is a Friend of the North Highland Way, and he has a really nice voice.

We recommend that you join the Scottish Communities Climate Action Network. You will be able to raise funds for your group, and get all kinds of benefits while knowing you are assisting the climate change action.

We are Making the Transition here.

When you have joined SCCAN, you can get 5% off my books on Amazon.

Also, 5% off my courses, as places allow.

Always check the weather before you leave for the day. Also, keep to the Scottish Outdoor Access Code.

We have so many supporters, we can’t count them all. Join us…..its free, and proves that this project is still wanted.

If I missed anyone, let me know!

The North Sutherland Forestry Trust is a Friend of the North Highland Way, they do a great job. Ditto, the Thurso Development Trust who have agreed to kindly put into our Miro board. You will need to ask to view – ask on Friends of the North Highland Way Facebook page.

The developer of the North Highland Way is now an individual member of NESCAN. They are most interested in the development of the round the coast coastal path and of course the Route of the Spanish Armada. She is also an individual member of the Highlands and Islands Climate Change Hub and Argyll and Bute Climate Action Hub. Why Argyll? Well, it is also has Spanish links, and the Gateway to Northern Ireland.

Barry was our friend, along with the wonderful and, sadly now deceased, Stu Prince. He did the coast.

You can now get your maps on the maps page!
